Classes for June - September 2013

Pre-registration and payment is required for all classes
and is non-refundable.

We ask that you are courteous to others while taking a
class and silence your cell phones....and treat yourself to a babysitter.

Wednesday Morning Help Time
10:00 am - Noon
Taught by Shirley Marshall
$5.00 class fee
This is a great way to bring any project that you are having
difficulty with and get help. You don't need to call ahead,
and you can stay a few minutes or the entire time. So go
into that knitting bag and bring out that project and
let's get it finished!!

Wednesday Night Help Time
6:00 - 8:00 pm
Taught by Paula Daniels
$5 class fee
Starting Feb. 1st, Paula Daniels will be available
every week to help with any project that has you
stumped, or if you want to start a project that
requires a new skill, Paula can teach you.
You can stay all or part of the time. You don't need
to pre-register, and you can join us at any time
between those hours.
We hope this will help to accomodate those who
cannot join us during our daytime help class!

Thursday Social Knitting
Noon - 2:00 pm

No charge
Come join us and knit a while! This will be a great time
for all who would like a knitting group and don't need
help on their project. This will be an informal group where
ideas and conversation will accompany your knitting.

Monday Night Blast!
The first Monday night of every month

The first Monday night of every month we will host a Knit
Night at the shop. This will be a social knit night where
you can come join with other knitters in sharing your ideas
and projects.

Beginning Knitting
Saturday Mornings
10:00 am - Noon
Class fee $40
This class consists of two - 2 hour sessions.
In the first class, we teach you how to cast on, the knit stitch
and the purl stitch. The next week, we teach you how to use
the stitches in different combinations, how to bind off
and get you started on a basic project. Included in the
class is yarn and needle to get you started. Pre-registration
is required at least 1 week in advance.

Hitchhiker Scarf Knit-Along

Wednesday, June 12th, 19th and 26th
1:00 - 3:00 pm
$25.00 Class Fee

Supplies:
Pattern is a $4.50 download on
www.ravelry.com
Shawl is knit with 400-800 yards sock yarn.
(Depending on the size you want to make)
Size 3 needle

Join us for our summer knit along! We will all meet
the first session and Shirley will go over the pattern
in depth and then help everyone pick their yarn
to get started.
The second and third time we meet we will all be
knitting along on this great shawl! We can all have
show and tell as we finish up and compare the
different choices of yarn used!

Size small = 1200 yrds. (36")
Size med/large = 1550 yrds. (41")
Size x-large/xx-large = 1750 yrds. (46")
Worsted weight yarn
Size 6 and 8, 24" needles

This will be our "in depth" sweater class that will
usually meet twice each month to give you time
to knit between classes. This beautiful jacket
features a textured brick pattern and is open down
the front for easy wearing.

Little Cotton Bunnies

Bunnies are knit with cotton classic and Frog
Tree Alpaca using a size 3 needle

We have fallen in love with these bunnies and
their wonderful clothes! Bonnie will teach all
the tricks for making and assembling these
bunnies for that lucky child!

"All About Aran" Baby Blanket

Pattern in "60 Quick Baby Blankets" available at the shop
6 skeins Encore Chunky or Vintage Chunky
Size 9, 32" circular needle

If you have ever wanted to learn to knit cables, or learn
to knit two different cables on the same row, this is
a great pattern for learning! This great pattern has
wonderful moss stitch edges and cables running up
the middle for a great Aran look!

Toe Up Socks

Tuesday, August 20th, 27th and
September 3rd
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Taught by Jane Callister

Supplies:
Size 1 double point needles (6 inch length)
Size 1, 32" circular needle
400 - 430 yards sock yarn
Pattern provided in class

This class teaches you how to knit your socks from
the toe up using double point needles. Once you've
mastered knitting socks, you will want to knit more
using all the wonderful sock yarn available.
